Fans of actor Afran Nisho were in for a surprise on his birthday, December 8, when he announced his upcoming movie Dagi.
“Mark the calendar with a mark, you will meet Dagi this Eid,” he said, hinting that the movie would be ready for Eid.
And now, Nisho’s preparations for Eid are all in place, meaning the shooting for Dagi is officially complete.
Director Shihab Shaheen confirmed that the filming wrapped up this week.
The movie was shot in several locations, including Rangpur, Syedpur, Dinajpur, Rajshahi, Gazipur, and Savar.
However, Shaheen, known for Chuye Dile Mon, couldn’t reveal too much about the movie just yet.
He shared, “At this point, nothing can be said. We are not at that stage yet. I have a contract with the production house about this, and they have their own strategies. They will make the decisions regarding these matters.”
He did mention, though, that Dagi is "a story-based film, it is a redemption movie."
While the specific Eid release date has not been confirmed, rumors suggest that the movie could hit theaters during Eid-ul-Adha if everything goes according to plan.
This film marks the reunion of Nisho and Toma Mirza on screen after their previous collaboration in Shurongo.
They will be joined by Sunerah Binte Kamal as a co-artist.
Dagi is being co-produced by Alpha I and Chorki, along with Kolkata’s SVF.
The movie is expected to be released in both Bangladesh and India, making it a cross-border experience for fans.
